Your routine belongs to you

Privacy, in plain words.

Stretching Timer is built around routines on your own devices. No account, advertising, or app analytics. Saving a session to Apple Health is your choice.

Your routines and sessions

The app stores exercise names, durations, settings, saved routines and recent-session information on your devices. It does not send these records to a developer-operated server. There is no app account to create.

When you use a paired iPhone and Apple Watch, the app uses Apple’s WatchConnectivity to exchange relevant routines, session state, recent-session records and actions between those devices. This is how the two apps work together.

Apple Health

Stretching Timer uses HealthKit for workout-session support on Apple Watch and, when you choose, to save a completed workout to Apple Health. Apple controls the system permission prompts. You can manage the app’s Health permissions in your device’s Health settings.

Saving from the session summary is optional. The Watch can keep a workout session active while the timer runs; if you leave the completed summary without saving, the app discards its pending workout rather than intentionally saving it to Health. On Apple Watch, Apple’s workout system handles active-energy calculation. The app does not write manually entered or duration-estimated calories.

The app does not upload Health data to the developer or use it for advertising, tracking, profiling or marketing. A workout you have saved to Apple Health is managed separately from the app’s local recent-session history.

What the app does not collect

The current app has no developer-hosted account system, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or third-party tracking SDK. It does not send routine or Health records to a developer backend. Apple’s operating systems and services have their own privacy controls and policies.

Keeping and removing information

Local routine and recent-session data remain available on your devices so you can reuse them. Use the app’s available editing controls to manage saved routines. Removing the app removes its local app data from that device, subject to the device’s backup and restore behaviour. Data on your other device and workouts already saved in Apple Health may remain; manage those separately.

Device backups, restoration and any system-level Health synchronisation are controlled by Apple and your device settings. The app does not provide its own cloud backup service.
